Ash Bushehri is one of the popular dishes that are served with bread during Islam’s holy fasting month of Ramadan in Iran’s southern city of Bushehr.

In general, thick soups such as Ash and Haleem, as well as Zoolbia Bamieh (Persian doughnuts) are among the main items on iftar menu for Iranians in Ramadan.

But Ash Bushehri has a unique taste and smell.

Worshippers in Bushehr also break their fast with dates, tahini, and Halva.
